The once-banned political drama “In the Color of Purple” won the top prizes at the 28th Fajr International Film Festival, but reporters and photographers were denied entry to the conference hall in Tehran’s Milad Tower to cover the event’s closing ceremony on Wednesday evening. Producer Jamal Sadatian received a Crystal Simorgh for best film as Ebrahim Hatamikia won the best director award for the film. “In the Color of Purple” also brought Hassan Karimi a Crystal Simorgh for best cameraman and won the Audience Favorite Crystal Simorgh.
